Looking for the best ways to make your house sparkle? Look no further! This is a list designed to make your house look the best it ever has!
A clean floor is the first step to a clean house! Whether it be vacuuming your carpet, mopping your tile, or cleaning your hardwood floor, you will notice a huge difference. Make sure to sweep hard floors before mopping so that you can get the best clean possible!
Use cleaner and a sponge to get all of your surfaces sanitized! Then dry with a rag. This includes all tables, counters, and shelves. 409 is a great cleaner for counters and tables! You may want to use furniture polish when cleaning nicer wooden tables or shelves. Clean surfaces make a huge difference!
Having clean windows just makes the house feel brighter. The easiest way to clean your windows is by using Windex. Just spray and wipe! Once those windows are clean you'll really begin to notice your house pop.
Everyone knows your kitchen should sparkle when its clean. Well, how can it sparkle if the appliances aren't shiny!? Cleaning those appliances doesn't take long, but makes a huge difference when looking at your kitchen.
Nothing looks better that a shiny chrome fixture with no fingerprints of smudges on it. Get those all nice and shined and your house will scream CLEAN. This doesn't take very long and makes a huge difference.
Windowsills, baseboards, curtains, etc. Dusting is annoying to do, but is worth the work. Nothing takes away from a clean house more than a dusty shelf or windowsill. Again, a small detail that pays off to do.
Cabinets! You love to have them, but hate to clean them... especially if you have a lot of them. At the very least, wipe down the outside of your cabinets. However, I would definitely recommend doing the inside too just so you have a more sanitary living space. It will surprise you how easy cabinets are to clean.
Sitting on a clean couch always feels great, so do yourself a favor and put this one on your list. I recommend vacuuming first (depending on the material of your couch) and then (if you really want to get it clean) use some Tide couch cleaner and really hit scrub it. You'll love how your clean couch feels.
As much as you don't want to do this one, it's a necessary evil. Trashcans can get pretty gnarly after a while, and you don't want your house guests to notice that you have a gross trashcan. Take the trash out, rinse your trashcan out with a hose and some soap, wipe down the outside of your trashcan, and you're good to go! This will take 10 minutes max and you'll be happy you did it after.
When all else fails, hire a cleaning company to take care of your house. Cleaning companies know what they're doing and typically do a great job. Look for well-reviewed companies with a good track record. It might cost you some money, but I have found that cleaning companies are worth their weight in gold!
