Here are some animals that are most affected by plastic pollution all over the world.
As we all know, Sea Turtle's are one of the most well known types of animals that are greatly affected by plastic pollution. The whole "ban plastic straws movement" began with Sea Turtle's being negatively impacted.
Seals and Seal Lions become entangled by plastic bags and nets. Plastic is sadly introduced to them on both land and in the sea. Many seals try to consume plastic and this will eventually result in their death.
Seabirds, pelicans, seagulls, and many other birds that live along the ocean are affected by plastic pollution. Many of these birds will consume a large amount of plastic throughout their lifetime. They will search beaches for food and mistake small plastic items for their regular meals.
Whales consume an enormous amount of plastic waste when searching for food. A whale's mouth opens quite fairly wide compared to other animals and this will allow a large flow of plastic to wash into its mouth.
Dolphins often mistake plastic for food like every other animal. Plastic becomes entangled on their fins and mouth just like whales. Their mouths have been sealed shut due to plastic bands wrapping around their nose.
