No trip to Bangkok is complete without a visit to at least one of the night markets it has to offer. Here is the best of the lot for you!

Rod Fai

Commonly referred to as the train market because it is located near the original train tracks in Bangkok, this night market is the closest to the city centre. Located right next to the Thailand Cultural Centre this place is a few minutes away if you are put up at the Riverside hotel in Bangkok the likes of Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel. Adorned with colourful tents, you will not miss this when walking by or are looking for the place at night. Make sure you take along with you, your camera or a good quality phone camera on your excursion to this night market as it is an amazing photo opportunity for you. The food you will be able to try here will be the local authentic Thai food along with Japanese and even Mexican blends.

JJ green

This is yet another popular night market that can be found in Bangkok and is known for its collection of vintage items. Since most of the products sold here are tourist kind of items you will notice that there more tourists than locals here. This is a classic flea market and you will be able to grab watches, car parts, licence plates, and other knick-knacks for a cheap price. Apart from the usual tents that up to put up at night markets this place also has some permanent shops right at the edge of the market. The food scene at JJ Green is not that amazing compared to the other markets on this list.

Chatuchak weekend market

Known to be one of the most visited markets in Bangkok everybody would have certainly heard about this weekend market. People assume that it is open only during the weekends because of its name but what you might not know is that it is open on Friday to and if you want to avoid the bigger crowds that flock here during the weekend Friday is a better day to visit.

On Nut night market

Located right near the On Nut BTS, this is one of the most convenient night markets in Bangkok. The crowd that is found here is mostly the expats who live in the area and are looking for a bit of entertainment in the night. Compared to the other night markets on the list this is quite small but it is perfect for taking a break from roaming the city. The area also has an amazing collection of bars that provide live music performances and this music also adds on to the casual mood of the market. There are no unique products sold here and the main reason that this place this popular and also made it to this list is because of the convenience of its location.
