Explore the National Museum of Nay Pyi Taw

The National Museum was opened to the public in the year 2015 and it began its construction in 2010. If you are put up any one of the Nay Pyi Taw hotels the likes of PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw, this Museum would be quite close to your accommodation. If you are the kind of traveller that loves to learn about the history and the socio-economic culture of the place you are holidaying in, then a visit to this National Museum would be a great idea. This place has some beautiful works on the display, 11th-century jewellery and mural paintings along with the models of stunning and architecturally mind-blowing temples. The place might seem quite empty since the building is so big but the things do not seem to fill the place much.

Visit the national Landmark Gardens in Nay Pyi Taw

Spread out for more than 400 acres, the national Landmark Gardens is the greatest asset of Myanmar. This place is so big that simply walking around will not be enough and you will not be able to explore the place in a day. You will have to get yourself a golf cart and go around the area. This Golf cart can be hired for the one hour tour that is provided along with the admission ticket to the Gardens. Cost of the entry and the sightseeing tour with would be about $75 per person. The Garden is open from 8 a.m. and shuts only at 5:00 p.m.

Take a look at the Tai kitchen in Nay Pyi Taw

This is one of the best restaurants found in the area and it flies solo as it is not set inside any big resort or hotel. The most popular dish you must try this place is the deliciously made Chicken Basil. Some of the other things you could try the are the shan style ribs, the steamed fish with lemon, and the rice cakes. The interior of this restaurant is tastefully decorated and has an ambience that is very laid back. You could dine while seated inside the restaurant and if the weather permits you could also sit at the deck outside and enjoy your meal with a view. This restaurant is found about 2 kilometres away from the junction centre in the capital.

The water fountain Garden of Nay Pyi Taw

Found right in the centre of the city, this is a garden that was built by the government and spreads out for more than a hundred and fifty acres. The garden is home to many swinging bridges, fountains, a water slide and a playground. This is a popular place where the locals and travellers bring their kids to have a fun evening. During the sunset, the huge fountains are turned on along with twinkling lights that are scattered about the area, creating magical atmosphere for everybody to enjoy.
