List of Reasons why you must Visit Beau Vallon Seychelles –A tranquil Holiday Experience Surrounded by the Indian Ocean

Beau Vallon is a bay 3 km away from the city of Victoria on the north-western coast off Mahe. This popular beach in Seychelles is free from all the usual tourist trappings found in major beach sites and is the ideal destination for a relaxing holiday.

1

The Beautiful beach

Beau valley means beautiful valley, this stretch of beach has clear clam waters, mild currents, and sandy ocean bed without corals or rocks. The beach itself is scattered with trees throughout its stretch and makes for a gorgeous beach-side setting to unwind in its tranquillity.

Snorkelling

From here you can find some great snorkelling points. Anse Major is a small bay in northern Mahe, with well-preserved corals and vibrant marine life such as blue-spotted grouper, the white-spotted box-fish, green bird mouth, and numerous species of moray eels. This location can be reached in an hour's hike through a lush forest or by taxi from Beau Vallon. Another site is Ste. Anne Marine Park and is 5 minutes away from Victoria by boat. Wade in the seagrass and be surrounded by friendly fish and catch a glimpse of giant sea turtles. You may even see manta rays that come to feed on the abundant plankton. Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino is one of the best Hotel Mahe has to offer and based on the northern coast of Mahe, perfect for conveniently accessing snorkelling sites.

Local markets and fairs

The Bazar Labrin is a beach-side market open every Wednesday and the last Saturday of each month. There are plenty of stalls with local delicacies to browse through such as grilled breadfruit, Jacques fritters, papaya chutney to authentic arts and crafts. The whole event gets particularly lively from 4.00 to 8.30 pm with local bands performing impromptu shows late into the evening.

Night Life

When you are relaxing in Beau Vallon and need a change of atmosphere all you have to do is hop on a taxi and in 15 minutes you will get to enjoy a vibrant nightlife. Barrel Night Club is a great spot to mingle with locals and to enjoy some popular reggae, creole, dance, and hip hop music into the night. The bar is open from Thursday to Saturday and is spread across two floors with a lounge bar and a night club in the basement. The Broadwalk Bar and Grill on Eden Island has fantastic mountain and ocean views and a frequented spot by locals and tourists alike. They have special karaoke sessions every Wednesday, and Thursday and live music to keep you entertained on Fridays and Saturdays. Rogan's Irish Bar is run by an Irishman, another popular hangout spot and the only one on the island to serve Guinness Beer. This would be the best place to catch up on some sports action on the giant screen and follow it up with a fun-filled karaoke session.
