This name is given to the waterfall as it looks like a leaf of the Bo tree. The waterfall begins at a narrow space which falls down and then opens up widely, up to two rock formations on either side. These rocks drive the water to a narrow section from which the water creates a beautiful cascading movement. The Bopath Ella is not very tall as it marks only about 30 metres in height. It is located in the village known as Agalawatte and can be accessed quite easily.
