Top 05 Diving Spots in Bali you Must Visit - The World Beyond Waters

Tulamben

This is easily one of the best diving sites in the world. Though it is known for being the best wreck to explore underwater, unlike what most people think, it is quite easy to take a look at. The dive will begin at about 30 meters offshore and go on to just 4 meters long once you get close. Apart from the wreck this dive also offers coral and fish in the backdrop for the divers.

Pemutaran

If you are into muck diving this is one of the best places to do so. You won't be able to see much in your muck dive but since there is absolutely no current here, the visibility underwater is excellent. The marine life you will find here is more than the usual species and is a must-visit especially in the night. The marine life living in this part of Bali is nocturnal sea creatures and will be active on the during the night. You will also be able to take a look at coral slopes that go down for up to 25 meters below. The best attraction here is the coral but, in 1998 some of the coral found closer to the shores were destroyed. If you are lucky you will be able to spot a few manta rays on your scuba diving session.

Menjangan island

If you plan on diving around this island it will definitely be a very rewarding experience. The diving spots here go from depths of 20 meters and up to 60 meters. Once you are underwater, the coral walls will be quite a sight that will mesmerise you. The best time to dive in this area is from October to November. The months you must avoid are from April and until October as this is the monsoon season. If your trip falls during the monsoon season going underwater still might be an amazing experience but the visibility will not be that great. If you are put up at a Seminyak beach resort similar to accommodation like Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort, you can ask them if they will arrange a day trip to this island for you.

Candidasa

The places around this spot and known to be some of the best diving areas around the island of Bali. Though the water here can be quite chilly the visibility is excellent. You will be able to spot various types of sharks while you are diving underwater here. Keep your eyes wide open to spot the blacktip and the white tip sharks. If you choose to dive during the month of August and until October you might also be able to see some unique marine life.

Amed

This site is known to be quite friendly and therefore is loved by amateur divers. Since it is an easy dive site this will also be crowded during most parts of the year. Underwater photography is highly recommended if you are someone who is into that kind of thing.
