Tokyo is the capital city of Japan that boasts of many activities. There is so much to do here, and it can take up months to fully explore this city. Here are some of the things you shouldn’t miss out on.

Yayoi Kusama Museum

Museums are the best places to get an insight into the local culture and history. The Yayoi Kusama Museum is 5 stories tall housing all the precious works of the famous Yayoi Kusama. The pieces of art here is something truly marvellous. You wouldn’t have witnessed its likes anywhere else. If you are an art fanatic, then this place should top your priority list.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

How about a place for nature lovers? Well, the Japanese gardens are an excellent place to spend your time outdoors. And the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is listed among the best gardens of the country. The one hundred and forty-four acres of parkland is home to traditional gardens, native gardens, English Landscape gardens and French Formal gardens. It really doesn’t get any better than this. Ginza Six

Pay attention shopaholics, this place is nothing short of a paradise for the shoppers. This sparking shopping complex that as established recently is built over 500,000 sqft which totally takes up an entire block. There are more than two hundred and forty shops to explore! You will need a day at least.

Senso-ji

You cannot visit beautiful Japan and not experience their temples. That wouldn’t complete your trip here, would it? The Japanese temples boast of incredible ancient architecture, and one such place is the Senso-ji. The five-storied pagoda is the 2nd highest pagoda in the country. The visitors crowd around the massive cauldron of incense in the entrance which people believe will help attain good health. Don’t forget to visit the shrine here!

Tsukiji Market

The Tsukiji Market closed down in late 2018, after about eighty years of operating. They opened afterwards, as two different sections. The original place now houses some excellent street food stalls selling authentic local food. Right along the road, at the Toyosu Market, there are many excellent Sushi bars. When in Japan, Sushi is a must!

Shibuya Crossing

If you’ve always been impressed with the population of Tokyo, then you must consider visiting the Shibuya Crossing. The perfect time of the day to head to the Crossing is when the dusk is settling in. At this lighting, the crossing looks very flattering. Take pictures!

Nakameguro

The seasonal attractions of Japan shouldn’t be missed out on. One of the excellent places to be at is the Nakameguro. During the spring season, the cherry blossoms start to bloom which turns the place into something magical. It’ll be best to travel to Japan during spring in order not to miss it. The streets here are dotted with cafes too. Enjoy good coffee and get lost in the views!
