List of Best Winter Sun Activities in Qatar - Winter doesn't mean indoors!

A winter in Qatar is not something you imagine a winter to look like. In Qatar, you will be able to enjoy the winter sun like at no other place, and to know how to do so, read on.

1

Katara

This is an intriguing cultural village that can be found close to Doha and it is also home to some of the best coastlines in the country. The Katara beach is about 1,500 metres long and offers almost all water sports activities you can come up with. Be it gondola rides to water skiing, anything can be done here. This beach also offers an excellent spot for beach dining in the night and has 14 restaurants by the shore for you to pick from.

2

Beach Resorts

Qatar has a lot to offer in terms of luxury hotels in Doha, and when in this part of the world, opting for a stay such as Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli is a good idea. You will have access to the beach and also be a preview to amazing ocean view bedrooms that offer nothing but the utmost kind of luxury available to mankind. Apart from the sea, you will also find yourself quite close to the sand dunes, meaning you can try your hand at sandboarding too!

3

Al Thakira Mangroves

Exploring a mangrove is always a unique experience and this is no different. The Al Thakira Mangroves can be found north of Al Khor which is a seaside town in Qatar. Finding such a natural oasis in the desert is a wonder in itself, and this mangrove is a must-visit just for that reason.

4

No bu Doha

This structure can be seen from quite far as it stands up tall and bright in the night sky. This looks more like some form of alien vehicle than an actual restaurant, and just for this eccentric yet chic factor, it deserves a visit. If you do venture out here for a meal, ask for a table out on the deck as it offers simply the best views possible, especially around sunset and afterwards. You will be able to overlook the olden dhows and supercars at the same time.

5

The Pearl

This is a man-made island that spans across a massive four million square metres. Home to an impressive collection of cafes, boutiques and eateries, this is one of the most picturesque places Qatar has to offer. Pictures were taken here look like they belong in a postcard. The bright townhouses, gorgeous gardens on the roof and lazy canals remind one of Venice too. According to the locals, this place was created highly influenced by Venice too. Take a walk along the banks of the dwindling waterway and spend a day exploring the quaint sights the town has to offer. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures for your vacation collection too! These pictures would look amazing on your Instagram profile.
