Bali Packing List, Things That You Should Bring to Bali on Your Vacation - A helpful little guide

Travelling to Bali is one of the most fun things you can do on a vacation. To know how to pack for this trip, read on.

1

Clothing

Imagining yourself on the beach all day, you might want to pack just bikinis and beach clothing because according to you all you will be doing is staying at your Bali Kuta resort the likes of Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali. You must keep in mind though that you will be travelling out of the hotel premises and the Balinese people dress conservatively. If you have any plans on wanting to explore the Hindu or the Buddhist temples in the area you must have a few outfits that cover the legs and arms. Also, if you are going to visit the small religious towns in the outskirts, it's better to dress in a more conservative outfit. For your days on the beach, you can always pack some light cotton clothing. Try to avoid packing heavy outfits like denim as they will not help you bear the heat.

2

Shoes and footwear

If you are planning on travelling to any South-East Asian country the best thing to do is pack a basic pair of slippers. This is because most places including temples and even some restaurants might ask you to remove your footwear before entering, so wearing slippers or flip flops makes it easier for you to remove and wear it whenever necessary. Also, since you will be leaving your footwear outside a number of places it is better to invest in a cheap pair in case, they get stolen or go missing. If you're planning on going trekking or hiking up to some hill then you can pack a good pair of shoes to keep your feet protected.

3

A safety kit

Nobody wants to get sick on a vacation. Thus, it is best to travel with a first aid kit. You do not have to carry all of your medical supplies from home because Bali has a lot of pharmacies that will offer most internationally found medicines. Do remember to pack your prescription medication and the prescription along with it in case you are running out of it. Mosquito repellent is a must when you are travelling in this part of Asia. Some medicine to soothe a sensitive stomach will also come in handy when you are travelling and eating at roadside stalls.

4

Travel documentation and cash

You will be able to find a number of ATM's that let you withdraw cash from your foreign account but it is always better to keep some cash with you in case the ATM cannot help, or you lose your card. Any documentation that you are carrying around, it is recommended that you have more than one copy of it. It is advisable that you keep both copies in different pieces of luggage, therefore, if you lose one luggage you will still have the backup documents and copy in the other.
