A short drive from Phuket will take you to Phang Nga province where elephant trekking and whitewater rafting is popular. After a slow-paced ride on an elephant, going on a white-water rafting tour will be exciting. The rafting camps provide a rubber raft that 4 to 5 people can fit into. Sea Canoeing

Phang Nga Bay and Krabi are the closest and the most popular locations for canoeing for those travelling from Phuket. Sea canoeing is truly an amazing adventure that you should not miss. Hongs are limestone caves which are on the interior of the island, to reach these you have to travel on a canoe. April to November is the surfing season in Phuket. The beaches are packed with amateurs and experienced surfers catching the waves of the glistening ocean. Referred to as the surfing Mecca of Phuket, Kata Beach has a lot to offer surfing enthusiasts. It does get pretty crowded here, however, the atmosphere is friendly and safe ensuring that everyone has a chance to enjoy their trip. Jungle Trek

There is no better way to explore the green side of Phuket than on foot, unless, you have an elephant of course. The Khao Phra National park is sadly the last remaining rainforest in the island. There are several trekking paths in the national park, it is always best to go with an experienced guide if especially if you want to spot wild animals. The hike here is amazing since you pass waterways and heavy forest with sights of an amazing waterfall. Usually, the tours take small groups and meals are arranged within the premises.
