Top 5 Kitchen Storage Tips

Here in England not many of us get the pleasure of a lot of space, including the kitchen. Or, maybe you do have enough room, but not enough storage. Either way, these tips will help you make the most out of the space you have.

1

Above the Stove

Cooking utensils, pots and pans can be hung on the wall above the stove. This will give you more space on your kitchen surface. But, not only does this tip save space in the cupboards, but it's also practical for cooking. Everything you need for cooking is at arm’s length away from the stove. This way, whenever you need a utensil whilst cooking, you don't have to take a single step to get it. Cooking made easy.

2

Kitchen Island

Kitchen islands are great because they give you more food prep space. However, they don’t usually come with any storage space. But if you want to utilise the space more you could get some drawers put in as well. That way you still maintain food preparation space whilst gaining more storage space at as well.

3

Baskets

Try organising pots and pans into baskets and placing them above the top cabinets. That way it still looks neat, you're using up spare space that wasn't being used and baskets are easier to grab. This storage idea will also give your kitchen that traditional look that is timeless.

4

Two Sides of The Shelf

People forget that you can use the bottom side of the shelf. And no this isn't some crazy, gravity-defying trick, it's simply hooks or rails. By putting rails on the bottom of the shelf you will be able to hang jars filled with spices, nuts and seeds on the bottom whilst still holding other kitchen goodies on the top. That way, you will be able to store more herbs and spices without taking up any more wall space.

5

Magazine Racks

This one is a great little handy tip that many of you should try. Attach magazine racks on the back of cupboard doors to store tin foil, cling film etc. It will save space in the cupboards to store more pots, bowls etc. whilst also making it easier to find tin foil and cling film.
