4 Days Itinerary in Koh Samui – How to make the most of your 4-day Koh Samui Trip

To travellers, Koh Samui is nothing short of paradisiacal wonder, which is no surprise given that the island swells with attractions. And here's a list of the things you can get up to on a 4-day trip.

1

Getting to Koh Samui

There are direct flights available from Bangkok and tickets can come at a cheaper price if booked well in advance. If you want to lose no time getting to the island, flying is the best option. Another way of travelling is to take the flight to Surat Thani and then getting the ferry to Koh Samui. Both options are available; you can choose one that befits your budget and the time frame.

2

Accommodation

The island brims with people despite the time of year. To entertain those who stream into the island in thousands, there are various types of Koh Samui hotels – you might want to look into the likes of Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort.

3

Sightseeing

You should dedicate your first day to exploring the beautiful vistas that decorate the island. You can rent a scooter if you are travelling solo or you could hire a taxi if you are in a group. The feature that attracts everyone's attention is the Big Buddha Temple – to locals; it is known as Wat Phra Yai. The 12-meter tall gilt Buddha statue is the main object of attraction which guides you to the temple from 5 miles away. Your next halt could be Wat Plai Laem before proceeding to visit the Bophut Beach and the Fisherman's village.

4

Relaxing

You will be all worn out after spending the whole of your first day rambling all over. So, your second day should be occupied with a bit of relaxing. If you want a little unwinding Koh Samui is well equipped to deluge you with it – head off to the town of Chaweng which sits on one of the charming beaches in Koh Samui. Spend your day working on that tan you so wish and enjoy the pleasant warmth of the placid sea. A hot day in Koh Samui is bound to make you famished, and it is also a great opportunity to sample the local cuisine – the beach is dotted with many beach clubs offering beach wanderers food and drink of great variety. And before making your way to your hotel room, you could avail yourself of a bit of indulgence by getting a massage.

5

Ang Thong National Park

Save your 3rd day to visit Ang Thong National Park. The park is a composition of forty-two small islands. Undoubtedly one of the captivating places in Thailand, the Ang Thong islands were featured in the movie inspired by the novel 'The Beach'. There are many operators that'll facilitate you with boat trips and the trip might take about two hours – the time you spend sailing is an activity in itself as your buoyant journey is vociferous with charming scenery.

6

More time on the beach and more sightseeing

Before you set off for the airport, make some time to visit Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks which don peculiar shapes. The rock formation is located in the southern part of Hua Thanon over the edge of Lamai Beach. Your second option is to do a bit of hiking to see the Na Mueang Waterfalls. If you've already booked yourself a tailored tour, it is more than likely that Na Mueang Waterfalls hike is included in the travel itinerary. Also, try to squeeze a bit of snorkelling and diving into your fourth-day travel schedule.
