5 Maps Every CS:GO Beginner Should Learn

If you're new to CS:GO, these are the maps you should master first to help with your map awareness, communication, and overall game sense!

1

Mirage

Mirage

Mirage is definitely the most simplistic map in the competitive pool. Learning this map will allow players to grasp the basics of CS:GO like general call-outs which translate to other maps and strategic rotating.

2

Inferno

Inferno

Inferno is another classic in the competitive pool, although slightly more complex than Mirage. Learning to navigate one's way around Inferno will help build map awareness and hone your general call-outs before moving on to more difficult maps like Overpass or Zoo.

3

Nuke

Nuke

Nuke is a classic part of the competitive pool, constantly confusing players with it's two-tier sites. Because the sites are stacked on top of each other, Nuke is an excellent way for players to work on their listening abilities before moving on to more complex maps like Vertigo or Zoo.

3

Dust II

Dust II

Dust II is another classic in the competitive pool which will help player's hone their map awareness and communication because of the consistent call-outs which hold true across many maps including Inferno, Cache, and many more.

4

Train

Train

Without a doubt Train is an underrated member of the competitive map pool and because of the many pathways to each site, I think it's important to learn before diving into comp.
