City palace is the heart of Jaipur.Jaipur was built by keeping this marvelous palace in the center.It is a little town rather than a palace. Both the Moghal and rajsthani inspiration can be found in the architecture.
Jantar Mantar observatory was built by maharaja Shawai Man Singh,the biggest Jantar mantar of India out of 4 others.Jantar means instrument and mantar means formulas. It is a 5 storied building specially built for the royal ladies.The 953 windows are the main attractions. Outside view is clear from the jharokhas(window) whereas you can not look inside through them.A pleasant air flow is there throughout the year.

It is a 5 storied palace out of which 4 remain underwater most of the time.It is in the northern part of Jaipur just 4 km away from center.It looks so photogenic amidst the blue water of the lake with green mountain in the background. It was then a photo-shoot place for the royal family also.
I have no words simply to describe Amer experience.One of the finest examples of Rajput architecture, it was the ancient capital of the Kachhawah rulers. The original palace was built by Raja Man Singh and additions were made later by Sawai Jai Singh.In my opinion take a elephant ride upto Amer fort from the bus stand. Or you may opt for cab,jeep according to your choice.You have to go through 5 gates ro reach the mahal.After reaching to 2nd floor first you will see a courtyard and kali temple.Dewan- E-Aam or meeting place with common people is there upright of 40 pillars.Main attraction of Amer is the Sheesh Mahal or Mirror palace.
You have multiple markets near Hawa Mahal called Jahuri bazar(famous for ornaments),Bapuji bazar(famous for dresses and shoes),Tripolia market and Chand Pole market.I went to the Bapuji market.Belive me you can choose from immense variety of marble work,jewelry,Kundan work,Chura ,dresses everything.
In the south corner of Jaipur the Birla Mandir is situated.Carving,sculpture of this Hindu mandir is excellent in a word.It was built in 1985 at a cost of 20 crores.The main idols are Lakshmi and Narayana. The beautuful mandir was built completely in white marble .
