Where Dubai is concerned, one can't go much longer without mentioning Burj Khalifa, which has earned the sobriquet 'the world's tallest building'. It took five long years for the completion of this wonderful man-made structure – the project began in 2004 and was completed in October 2009 – the reports deem that it cost a whopping USD 1.5 billion. The grand opening ceremony was held on the 4th January 2010, and ever since, the building has been an element of fascination and a feature of Dubai's charm. What's more, the building is an integrand of Downtown Dubai.

The tower used to bear the title 'the world's tallest residential building'. With a height that reaches 414 meters and 101 stories, Princess Tower has a total of 763 residential units, eight retail outlets and 957 parking bays. The tower's completion took a year longer than that of Burj Khalifa – the execution of the project began in 2006, and the project was completed in 2012.

Marina 101

The building boasts a standard height of 427 meters and was topped out in the year 2016. Designed with the expertise of the National Engineering Bureau, Marina 101 is regarded as a mix-use building.
