Master Guardian is the next on the totem pole. Spanning across four separate ranks, MG is a small bridge between GN and Legendary that certainly shouldn't be overlooked.

Legendary is the tiny winged duo between MGE and SMFC.

Certainly, you've noticed that isolated rank between LEM and GE, right? If you've never encountered a player with that rank before these are the folks who've been awarded their "wings" but have never attended flight school a day in their lives.
