Comic and Cartoon Syndicate Submission Guidelines

Creators Syndicate

Creators Syndicate distributes a great variety of continuing features, such as comic strips and panels, columns and political cartoons, and we are constantly on the lookout for quality features. The potential distribution for your work is enormous. It includes virtually every American newspaper that buys syndicated material, as well as other national and international publications.

King Features: Submission Guidelines :

King Features is always happy to look at new comic features for possible syndication. We believe in the art of cartooning and place great importance on looking at new material. Without exception, we carefully consider every comic strip or panel idea submitted to us.

Tribune Media Services Submissions

Tribune Media Services accepts submissions for syndicated columns, commentary, comics, editorial cartoons, puzzles and other features. However, we approve extremely few for syndication and generally only from well-established established creators. If you would like to submit material for review, please send or have your agent send samples and/or a cover letter and brief biography to TMS by U.S. mail or express-mail services. Because of the volume of submissions, we do not accept phone inquiries and cannot respond directly to all submissions. We return material only if a SASE is enclosed.

Universal Uclick

Universal Uclick is always looking for great new comics and columns. Read through these guidelines before you submit your material for our consideration. Once you understand all the guidelines in submitting a new feature please click the button below to begin the submission process.

Washington Post Syndicate

Please send at least 24 cartoons. Use letter-sized paper for your submission. (Anything larger only makes our job more difficult.) Send only copies; please do not send originals. Please do not put the submission in a portfolio or other folder. A staple or paper clip is sufficient.

You may send your cartoons in any size that will fit on letter-sized paper, but please make sure they will reduce to standard sizes. If you are unsure what the standard size is, please measure a cartoon or comic strip/panel from the newspaper and work in that proportion.
