7 Pristine Places to Visit in the Maldives On Your Trip - Exploring the Maldives

With more than 1000 islands, the Maldives is the ultimate summer vacation destination. Here is a short list of places to cross off from your bucket list.

1

Malé

This is the capital of the Republic of Maldives and is the most urbanised city. Situated in the southern coast of Kaafu Atoll makes for a convenient location to other islands and resorts like Adaaran Club Rannalhi Maldives. The most popular mode of transport is via a speedboat. Some of the places that shouldn't be missed are the National Museum and the Grand Friday Mosque.

2

Banana Reef

The Banana Reef is a well-known spot, especially among divers. It is no surprise that it is one of the best diving sites in the whole world! If you are looking to dive or learn to dive, this is a mandatory place as it has many licensed diving courses. For those who are not keen on diving, snorkelling is an option too. Ensure that you get a chance to witness the exuberant aquatic life, including the corals. The reef's name is derived from its banana-like shape.

3

Artificial Beach

In the Maldives, places to visit and indulge in water-sports are found in plenty! This artificial beach is one of the top places to go to if you crave for an adrenaline rushing adventure. It is also home to some of the best carnivals in the island!

4

FIhalhohi Island

An island fringed with tall, swaying palm trees, absolutely crystal-clear turquoise shade waters and pristine beaches, makes you feel like you've gone to heaven. Its surreal beauty will leave you captivated for a lifetime. It is ideal for the honeymooners and the best time to visit is between the months of December and June.

5

Baros Island

Another spectacular island with sun-kissed beaches and luxury resorts with water-villas makes this island popular among families and newly-weds. The white sandy beach and the contrasting blue waters make the island look like something out of a post-card.

6

Mirihi Island

The modern man is constantly stressed out and spends most of their time in front of LED screens. It is only human to crave for a break and go on a "digital detox". For those who crave that and get lost in everything good nature has to offer, Mirihi Islands is the best place to be. There is no television here at all! Additionally, the use of laptops is frowned upon- who comes to such a beautiful island and not take the maximum use of it? Indulge in spa treatments, great food, a lot of healthy Vitamin D and connect with nature.

7

Kanuhura Island

This is an ideal place to visit if you are travelling with children as it has a kid-friendly resort. Let the little ones take advantage of the Kids Club activities while you and your partner enjoy some quality alone time. It is a great way to de-stress yourself before the holiday is over and the mundane life begins.
