Gardens by the Bay

The Garden by the Bay is a world-renowned park due to its stunning landscaping, light displays and variety of vegetation. It has so many different attractions that it is definitely the most famous garden in Singapore. There are 18 different metal structures which are the height of about 16 storeys and all of these are covered in various shades of green. Two of the tallest structures are connected with a bridge which allows you to have a bird's eye view of the park and make it feel like you are walking in heaven. The light show which takes place twice daily in the evenings is not only for the visitors to the park but for the entire surrounding which includes the Citadines Mount Sophia Singapore.

East Coast Park

The East Coast Park is the biggest National Park in Singapore which is next to a waterfront and covers about 15 kilometres altogether. The best way to cover the national park is by wheels as you would not be able to cover the whole area on foot. There are several shops which rent out bicycles in case you do not have your own. During weekends you can see people in many different modes of transport such as bicycles, scooters, quadricycles and even rollerblades. The dedicated cycling and skating lane makes things orderly allowing everyone to enjoy the park.

MacRitchie Reservoir

The MacRitchie Reservoir is a nature lover's paradise. For those who love the great outdoors, this park is an absolute gem. There are hikes available for those who want to explore the land. There are canoes and kayaks that can be rented for those who want to test the water at the MacRitchie Reservoir.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Known as one of the premier orchid research and breeding centres in the world the Singapore Botanic Gardens is also one of the oldest parks in Singapore. Situated in the centre of the metropolitan city the park is a popular tourist attraction. The park had been opened in 1859 which is now home to more than 10,000 different species of plants. Many an apartment hotel in Singapore is located in the vicinity of the park which makes it easy for most of the tourists to visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park

The Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is probably one of the most underrated parks in Singapore. Even though most tend to think it is just plain greenery that is available in the park there are so many attractions within the park. There is a play area for children, picnic area for families and even restaurants and a spa. The Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is currently most popular only among those living in the neighborhood.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

Another favourite park for the nature lovers but little less adventurous. The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is the oldest and largest forest reserve in the country which is also home to some endangered flora and fauna. The reserve offers hiking and rock climbing for those who wish to have a little bit of outdoor adventure.
