Best Shopping Malls in Bangkok - Swipe, swipe away!

Bangkok is one of the most famous shopping destinations in the world. With a huge array of extravagant shopping centres, you'll definitely want to check some out. Here is a list of the best shopping malls in Bangkok.

1

Central World

Having opened its doors back in the year 2006, Central World in Bangkok is the world's sixth biggest shopping centre. Spanning eight floors, it's one of the best malls in the city. Considering its size, don't be surprised to find actual cars for sale within the mall. Central World is made up of multiple wings that feature shops, cafes and restaurants. Every floor in the mall is dedicated to a special category of products, like kid's items on the 6th floor, women's items on the 2nd floor, men's items on the 3rd floor and electronic items on the 4th floor. The 7th-floor houses many great restaurants with a whole variety of delicious dishes to try out. You'll also find a gourmet market and a supermarket on this floor as well, selling fruits, drinks, vegetables and baked goods. Central World is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. so make sure you visit the mall more than once.

Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon can be found a little towards the west of Central World with a walk-way bridge between the two. The ground floor of this 9-floor mall is a large food court that houses many cafes and restaurants. Most international restaurant chains can be found here as well. Paragon is also home to a luxury wing on its ground floor, featuring many expensive brands like Chanel, Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Armani and Louis Vuitton. Automobile brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini too have shops set up here. You'll also find more affordable brand names present here such as Zara, Mango, TopShop, Miss Sixty, Massimo Dutti, TopMan and H&M. An interesting thing to note, Bangkok's biggest bookstore Kinokuniya is located right here on the 3rd floor. If you're on looking for a great riverside restaurant in Bangkok, you'll find plenty of options that are part of hotels themselves, like Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok for instance.

MBK

Originally called Mahbookkrong when it was opened back in 1985, MBK is ones of Asia's oldest shopping malls. MBK is filled with many small shops that are predominantly Thai brands and designs. The 4th and 5th floor is where you'll find most electronic items, with Apple, Nikon and Canon having their presence as well. MBK is home to so many excellent items that are cheap as well, so don't be surprised if you lose track of time in here. If you're craving for some food, the 5th and 6th floors have food courts on them that serve many delicious Thai and international dishes. When shopping all day has gotten you a bit sore, you can head to the 7th floor where you can either go bowling or sing karaoke. The MBK shopping mall is extremely popular and offers a great assortment of items and fun.
