Best Night Places to eat in Langkawi - Curb those late-night cravings!

Langkawi is loaded with many places that cater to your late-night cravings when you're out and about exploring the different attractions all around. Here is a list of the best night places to eat that are guaranteed to be at the top of the minds of both locals and tourists.

1

Tomato Nasi Kandar

An extremely popular spot amongst many, Tomato Nasi Kandar is a 24-hour eatery that serves a whole assortment of delicious dishes, from fish and chips to roti canai. Referred to as a 'mamak', Tomato Nasi Kandar also features a buffet, where you can easily pick up dishes to pair with your rice and pay for just that. Fast service and affordable prices guarantee a worthy experience. A highlight dish here would be their cream cheese stuffed naan or roti that is best ordered with garlic. For freshly fried crispy chicken, pop in at around 5 a.m. as this is a must try.

2

DK Char Koey Teow

Relatively new to the area and run by a team of young boys, DK Char Koey Teow is well known for serving a dry char koey teow that is different from the wet variety that is found almost everywhere else on the island. This dish, which is basically flat noodles that are fried together with egg, prawns, bean sprouts and cockles in a wok is absolutely delicious. Reinventing a classic dish requires guts and DK Char Koey Teow delivers. The spot is usually open until 2 a.m. in the morning and if you're lucky try to get your dish with an addition of crab meat for an extra kick.

3

Kedai Simpang/Kedai Corner

In reality, the place doesn't have an actual official name, however, if you manage to locate it, their deep-fried calamari is an absolute sensation. Other great dishes here include their lemon steamed fish and their chilli and garlic broth. While they usually close shop by 12 a.m. they are open until 1 a.m. during the high season. If you're looking for a beach restaurant, Langkawi has many options. Great accommodation choices are plentiful here as well, such as the Berjaya Langkawi Resort for instance.

4

Ok Boss Asam Pedas

This establishment which has been there for ages used to be found at the main Chenang street, now though, they've moved their premises to Jalan Bohor Tempoyak. If you ever find yourself asking a local for their favourite spot for late night food, most of them will probably direct you here. A family run eatery, they are quite well known for their asam pedas fish, which is a spicy yet slightly tangy dish. Another highlight is their coconut and turmeric curry which is known as masak lemak style. If fish is not your go-to option, you can easily ask them to swap it with chicken. One of the great things about Ok Boss is that they are open until 4 in the morning.
