5 Best Things to Do with Kids in Chiang Mai - Family-friendly adventures inbound!

Whether you've completed visiting or crave something a little different from Chiang Mai's various choices of temples and historical locations, an exciting family-friendly activity can be the ideal solution. Here is a list of best things to do with kids in Chiang Mai offering fun for the whole family.

Chiang Mai Night Safari

Located at 33 Moo 12, Nhong Kway, Hang Dong, this is an unusual but albeit exciting offering for you to check out. The Chiang Mai Night Safari is an exciting way to witness a wide variety of animals, as the park aims to fully recreate the safari experience of jumping into the wilderness after sundown. Daylight tours too are available here for those who prefer that option. The park has 3 main zones that you can tour which are the Jaguar Trail, Predator Prowl and the Savannah Safari. While travelling on the provided open-sided tram, you'll be able to see a host of creatures like giraffes, zebras, lions, pumas, elephants, flamingos, tigers, jaguars and various other exotic creatures as well. You'll also be able to check out the impressive laser light show that takes place at the end of every night which is a perfect way to cap your tour.

Chiang Mai X Centre

Open daily from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening, the Chiang Mai X Centre is located at 816 Mar Rim-Samoeng Road, Rim Tai, Mai Rim. This is an extreme sports centre that offers an exciting range of activities such as go-kart drifting, motocross, zorbing, paintball, ATV racing, bungee jumping and many more. While some of these are definitely unsuitable for kids, the centre also offers a range of activities that catered for them, like mini golf, miniature bungee jumps, mini ATV's and a paintball target range to name a few. The centre is also home to a restaurant and bar that you'll definitely want to check out to grab a bite and a refreshing drink after an entire day of fun and adventure. If you're looking for accommodation at a Residence, Chiang Mai has many excellent options to select from, like the Anantara Chiang Mai Serviced Suites for instance.

Art in Paradise Chiang Mai

Art in Paradise is a fun museum that is located at 199/9 Chan Klan Road, Chang Klan and is open daily between 9 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. This is an excellent place for creative kids and adults to have a memorable time by taking part in a lot of fun photos. Unlike most museums or art galleries, Art in Paradise is home to 130 works which are all interactive. They use perspective tricks which provide you with the chance of being incorporated into the work itself. You can stand in the mentioned area and take a picture that makes you look like you're either trapped inside a snow globe, riding a magic carpet, checking out an Egyptian tomb or even being eaten by a crocodile. This is not a solo activity as it requires you at least bring one other person to alternatively take pictures while you're interacting with the displays.

Flight of the Gibbon

This adventure park is an eco-friendly one, and is sure to give you a different view than you're used to when it comes to the beautiful rainforests in Thailand. You and your family can take part in some exciting activities like flying through on zip lines.

Chiang Mai Zoo

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the main attractions around and engage in something that is both relaxing and educational. You can take your family to the Chiang Mai Zoo to witness marvellous creatures like giraffes, zebras, pandas, lions, tigers and even penguins.
