Four Things You Can Do in 15 Minutes or Less

Do you ever find yourself with short spurts of time in between your demanding day’s events? Sometimes staring at the wall or lying on the couch does nothing to relieve the stress that’s building up and leave you feeling recharged and accomplished. Below are a few ways to spend those few minutes wisely, get some things done and really enjoy your day.

1

Decide What Not to Do

Decide What Not to Do

Finding yourself with a to-do list that is chalk full can be so easy to do that it’s almost a daily occurrence. From picking up the dog from the groomers to scheduling and finding time for LASIK eye surgery, whether you live in Utah or Florida, time is tight and our lives just keep getting busier. So, if you have a few minutes, deciding what you actually have time to do that day can save you a lot of stress. Be reasonable about your day. Planning for things you know you can get accomplished will help you relax and blow through it.

2

Serve or Acknowledge Someone Else

Serve or Acknowledge Someone Else

Sometimes taking the time to help someone else can really help you. Taking a break from stressing about all your problems by calling a friend to see how their day is going can help you take a deep breath and remember to be happy. Helping friends or co-workers will make them feel good and help you feel better too! Spend a few minutes to send flowers to your friend who just had LASIK eye surgery or take two minutes to walk over to your co-workers desk and ask how their weekend went. Making a friend, and cherishing the ones you already have, could make you feel better about the daily grind.

Forward an Article of Interest to a Friend

Forward an Article of Interest to a Friend

If you have a friend who occasionally sends you things they think might interest you, maybe that skiing resort in Utah you’ve been dying to check out, you know how nice it can be. Not only are you now linked up to something you like, but you know that your friend is thinking about you. Perhaps you have a friend whom you know is considering LASIK eye surgery; sending them a link to a Utah clinic with some of the best surgeons in the country could be a nice way to let them know you are thinking of them. Browsing the Internet is something we all enjoy and sending a link or something funny to a friend can get you laughing and help your day to go better.

4

Breathe

Breathe

Take a few minutes to breathe and consider what is truly important in your life. Put some soothing music into your ear buds and rub your eyes. Staring at a computer screen all day can put strain on your eyes. Closing your eyes briefly and relaxing them can help keep your eyes healthy and avoid the need for LASIK eye surgery. Relax and think of all the people you love and all the things you are grateful for in your life. By focusing on the positive you can recharge and get on with your day.
