Built on a vastly manicured landscape overlooking the enchanting Cha Am Beach, the Maruekathaiyawan mansion is a pillar of magnificence. The mansion has three single-story pavilions, which are connected by the boardwalks that are designed to bring in the cool breeze from every direction. The architecture of the palace if spectacular and you can almost imagine the grandeur of their lifestyle back in the day when you walk in. The palace is truly fit for a king and you will be taken back in time during your visit. This may not be an out of the ordinary thing to do but it is actually an experience you must not miss during your stay in Hua Hin.

Phraya Nakhon Cave

This is one of the most mysterious and magical landmarks in Thailand. Not many travellers go into the cave due to the difficult route to get there so only a lucky handful gets to capture the splendour of the location. The cave is located within a short drive from Hua Hin in the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. You need to drive to the Bang Pu village by the sea and then rent a boat or take a 30-minute trek to get to the cave.

3

Santorini Park

The Santorini Park brings the beautiful Greek Island to the town of Hua Hin. The details are extraordinary with classic whitewashed houses, colourful windows, stone-paved paths and dome towers. The restaurants, shops and the amusement park located here make it a place for everyone to have a good time. This is one of the most unique locations in Thailand and quite an experience. Make sure you find a hotel Hua Hin such as the Avani+ Hua Hin Resort that gives easy access to the best parts of the town.

4

Hua Hin night market

Located in the centre of Hua Hin sandwiched between the railway line and Petchkasem d, the night market comes to life at 6.30pm. You get stalls lined with clothing, art and craft, DVDs and of course yummy street food. You can't compare it to the big markets in Bangkok or Chiang Mai but it's a nice place to visit in Hua Hin.

5

Plearn Wan

Plearn Wan is a themed open-air shopping mall, which feels more like you are in a museum. The theme takes you back to the 1960s with its architecture. You get period style homes, shops and all other surroundings. The beauty salon, outdoor cinema and photo studio make you feel like you are living in the '60s.

6

Khao Takiab

The Khao Takiab translates to Chopstick Mountain. The mountain is home to the hilltop temple with extraordinary views of Hua Hin. You will come across a number of monkeys living in the mountain.
