5-night activities in Hong Kong - A list for the club hoppers

The city has always been the centre of attraction for night lovers in Hong Kong with Lockhart Road and Jaffe Road still popular hotspots for bar hopping. Here's where you go for the best experiences.

1

Woolloomooloo Rooftop Bar

This is just about the only rooftop bar in Wan Chai. The place is tops for birds-eye views of the surroundings, sipping fabulous sunset cocktails and simply chilling with friends. The prime Australian steaks served here simply add to the experience. The place open from 6 pm to 2 am and overlooks Happy Valley and Causeway Bay while offering ample opportunity to spend the entire night wining and dining.

2

Queen Victoria

You won't find any other place closer to a traditional British pub than this place. Favoured by its standard customers Queen Victoria is known to serve the cheapest drinks in the downtown district of Hong Kong. Nights are themed here with Mondays reserved for Quiz Night and weekends dedicated to English football via the telly. This is before a DJ kicks off a session of rock and pop classics. The friendly watering hole is located on iconic Lockhart Road and is a mere walk from the Wan Chai MTR station; an easy reach for those of you staying at Tsim Sha Tsui hotels.

3

Joe Bananas

Joe Bananas stands out from the rest of the crowd as the one place that stays open longer than the others. Closing time is 5.30 am so it is most likely the last stop on any whirlwind bar hopping tour of Wan Chai. The place is a legend on its own with a hip rock band belting out dance music from 8.30 pm onwards and a fun loving night crowd gracing the place. Easy to reach from Park Hotel Hong Kong, this is the best place to head to when you don't want the night to end

4

The Pawn

Housed in a refurbished colonial building The Pawn is a chic cocktail bar. The place offers a split ambience with a gastropub theme on the upper floor terrace where one is treated to trams on Johnston Road while the old-fashioned cocktail bar is for those of you hankering for some rest and relaxation. Ideal for tourists on the scout for stylish settings to enjoy a night at, this bar fits right into the trendy nightlife scene of SoHo.

5

Carnegie

Carnegie is a popular local hangout that gets quite crowded after office hours. Located on Lockhart Road the place is loved for its happy hour from 6 pm to 7 pm. The pub grub here is excellent and goes well with daily drink specials. The bar is ideal for indulging in some friendly banter while the stereo plays classics from the '70s and '80s. The place draws a mix of locals and homesick westerners who love the laid back atmosphere and very western outlook of the place. Carnegie is open from 6 pm to 1 am
