After a devastating civil war which lasted for almost 3 decades, the East and North of the island has now settled down and started developing slowly. The Galle road is the road that leads from Colombo Galle Face to Galle in the Southern province. The road is not a highway but it is absolutely enchanting to drive along the Galle road. Starting from urban Colombo where the roads are lined with skyscrapers and massive structures. The road then becomes wider and welcoming as you head out of Colombo. The road then runs along the coastline with the stunning blue sea on one side and the houses of villager’s are lined up inland of the road.
