05 Museums you must visit when in Macau

Macau is a beautiful region that has many different museums varying from history, culture, sports, arts, andspecialty and they are all so interesting.

Monte Forte

This museum is also known as the Fortaleza do Monte which was built in the 16th Century by the Jesuits and then later used as a military base. This fort is now turned into a museum with a park beside it which is open to the public. The park is open from 10 am to 6 pm on a daily basis and you have to purchase a ticket in order to enter. When you walk around the fort looking at the magnificent structure it makes you wonder about the amount of hard work that has gone into building those pyramids and buildings.

The Macao Museum is an excellent way of learning about the history of Macau. The museum is well organised and the structure is easy to understand by anyone who is not even aware of the history. The colonial periods where the region was under the rule of the Portuguese, Chinese, and other ethnic influences are drawn in a positive light.
