Hydrodocs

Here are some items that could possibly be used in a hydrodocs lesson plan

Explore Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Genetics | Innerbody

Welcome to Innerbody.com, a free educational resource for learning about human anatomy and physiology. Explore the anatomy systems of the human body! This will allow students to virtually study different parts of the human body. This will be good for my visual and even hands on students.

From Head to Toe, Body Math (I Love Math) by Time Life Books (1994) Hardcover

I will have pages of this book embedded in my hydrodoc for students to read as they go through the lesson. This would add a little more fun and it will be engaging for my readers.

Home | Dole.com

Meal Planning. This website will allow students to look over different recipes, students will then look up how the main ingredients affects their bodies and compare that to a few of the things they regularly eat and create a comparison chart within the hydrodoc.

Science for kids | Blood | Cardiovascular System | Body Parts| Experiments for kids | Operation Ouch

How does BLOOD circulate around the Cardiovascular System? Here body parts and biology are explained to kids. Operation Ouch is a British science show for kids. I think students will love this because of the fun accents. This will engage students and its possible that they remember the information better as well because of the accents. This will be good for my visual and oral learners.

Field Trip offered about the human body in Saint Louis. My visual and kinesthetic learners. This field trip would be fun and engaging and teach students about the human body all while having fun and moving around.

Mia Nacamulli: How the food you eat affects your brain | TED Talk

When it comes to what you bite, chew and swallow, your choices have a direct and long-lasting effect on the most powerful organ in your body: your brain. So which foods cause you to feel so tired after lunch? Or so restless at night? Mia Nacamulli takes you into the brain to find out. [Directed by Private Island, narrated by Addison Anderson]. I would use this video to go along with the food planning and investigating on the dole website. This would work well for my oral and visual learners and the students will have this to connect to the meal planning.

Pop Quiz: The Human Body | Magic School Bus | Scholastic.com

This is a fun quiz I would use to check how well students picked up and remembered the facts and knowledge they should have gathered from the hyperdoc.

Copy Cat Jack Game

This is another quiz I would use to assess the students, this could possibly be used as a prior knowledge assessment that the students would start their lesson with.

Build-A-Body: Digestive System - GameUp - BrainPOP.

In this free online science interactive game, students learn about the organs and organ substructures within the digestive system. This would be a great game for my visual and hands on students!

5th Grade Human Body Systems

Students will be engaging in fun interactive online activities to help them understand each system better. Activities range from creating a model of the digestive system, completing a simulated heart transplant, following your pulse to creating a model of a lung. This website is going to be great for my hands on learners!
