Best Beaches in Pattaya - Lesser known beaches around Pattaya

Pattaya, Thailand is home to hundreds of gorgeous beaches, but many of them are swarmed with tourists. Here's a list of-of some of the best-secluded beaches to explore and enjoy on your own.

1

Tubkaak Beach - Krabi

Located along Thailand's southern-west coast, Krabi is known for attracting large crowds of tourists, who pack the streets and beaches throughout the year, but Tubkaak beach is one of the few exceptions. Tubkaak is a long, quiet stretch of beach, with amazing views over the Koh Hong archipelagos, and even better sunsets! Bordered by the tropical greenery of Kao Hang Nak Forest, it's a truly a hidden gem, with barely any commercial properties located nearby. While this is probably one of the best beach getaways in Thailand, do note if you plan on visiting Tubkaak beach to carry along essentials such as food and water since there's no place nearby to buy anything and Krabi town is 30-minutes away by car.

2

Koh Lao Liang Phi - Trang

One of two gorgeous islands that make up Koh Lao Liang, Phi is the larger and less visited island. Phi has the kind of picture-perfect landscape you imagine when you think of a tropical paradise. Towering limestone cliffs that overlook fine white sand beaches as far as the eye can see, while coral is clearly visible through the clear blue waters. Travelling to the island from the mainland takes about an hour and requires a few stopovers and boat changes, probably one of the reasons it isn't as popular as other islands in the area, but once you get there, you'll forget all about the fuss.

3

Thong Nai Pan - Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is generally associated with the notoriously wild Full Moon parties that take place along Haad Rin beach, but north of the island is a serene beach that is worlds apart from the hedonistic atmosphere of the south. Thong Nai Pan is an area where you can find two of the island's most beautiful beaches - Thong Nai Pan Yai and Thong Nai Pan Noi. The beaches are the only 15-minutes walking distance from each other and are very secluded, thus providing a calm and private atmosphere. Both beaches have splendid waterfalls and amazing sunsets.

4

Sunset Beach - Koh Lipe

Koh Lipe is a stunning island with dazzling locations, wide beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Unlike some of the other places on this list, it is a popular tourist location. However, if you want to get away from the hordes of sun worshipers, stay away from the famed Central Pattaya hotel and beach and head to the Western coastline where you'll find the more secluded Sunset Beach. Known for its stunning white sands and unforgettable sunsets, the beach is extremely chilled out and perfect for those looking for a quick escape.

5

Pattaya Beach

This is the best-known beach in the world, and are known for the tropical beauty and have been laced with resorts like Travelodge Pattaya for example. Pattaya Beach is an exciting discovery when you want tourist-heavy beaches that offer a lot of sand entertainment. Travellers who are willing to make the journey to the beach can expect to find pristine white sand, turquoise waters, and colourful corals littered all over the beach. While the beach isn't as large as the others, the water is ideal for swimming, and travellers can even camp out on the beach.
