Dubai, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, is one of the world's most popular tourist destinations. The main reason for this is that Dubai has some of the best attractions in the world.
Standing at a mind-boggling 830m above ground level, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure in the world. The megastructure is one of the most stunning accomplishments of man, as this free-standing tower is one of the most extraordinary feats of human ingenuity, engineers and architecture. Just standing next to this mighty tower is enough for you to understand just how tall the Burj Khalifa is, but if you want to truly experience the height of this tower you must take an at the Top tour. During this tour you will get to the SKY Observation Deck located on the 148th Floor; that's 555m above ground level, on the fastest elevator in the world. The sight of the city from such dizzying heights is absolutely exhilarating, also making it a great place for taking some panoramic pictures of the city.
Located next to the Burj Khalifa; the tallest building in the world, is the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world. Ever since it was declared open in 2008, the Dubai Mall has reigned supreme as being the largest upscale shopping centre in the world. With over 1,200 stores and many other features, the Dubai Mall is an attraction in its own right, in addition to being a shopping mall. With stores by the leading international and local brands in fashion, electronics, footwear, jewellery, watches, perfumes, antiques, and homeware, the Dubai Mall shopping experience is truly unparalleled. But shopping is not all that Dubai Mall has to offer; it has multiple food courts, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo with its mesmerizing acrylic walk-through tunnel, the Reel Cinema Cineplex, the Dubai Ice Rink, the SEGA Republic arcade centre, and even the remains of a dinosaur!
The Palm Jumeirah is one of the most spectacular artificial islands created by man. Taking the shape of a giant palm tree, this island made of reclaimed land is truly a modern marvel in engineering and human creativity. Home to a plethora of attractions such as the Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park, amazing restaurants, many water sports facilities, and holiday apartments Dubai such as the Oaks Liwa Heights, the Palm Jumeirah is definitely one of the best attractions of Dubai.
As you might have figured out already, Dubai is home to the best in the world for many things. The Dubai Miracle Garden is no different, as it carries the title of being the world's largest natural flower garden. Spreading over a sprawling 72km2, this flower garden is located on Al Barsha South 3 and is a must-visit attraction for any lover of horticulture and landscaping. Keep in mind that Dubai is located in a desert region and, therefore, it is only during the cooler seasons during the months of October through April that the Dubai Miracle Garden operates. The garden is truly breathtaking with picturesque lawns and idyllic flower beds. The garden is home to hundreds of species of flowers, and during the peak season, it is believed that the garden has over 40 million individual flowers.
A ski resort in a desert nation might sound strange, but then again Dubai is not your average destination. Dubai is home to Ski Dubai, one of the world's finest indoor ski resorts, and a top attraction. Ski Dubai is part of the Mall of Emirates shopping complex and spreads over an area of 22,500m2. Ski Dubai has a 60m tall skiing mountain along with five slopes with varying inclines and skill levels. Additionally, Ski Dubai also has a climbing tower, many sledge and toboggan runs, as well as an indoor black run, all of which guarantee plenty of fun!
