When you are in Thailand it is impossible not to try a juicy sate during a meal, since it is available in almost every eatery in town. Satay in Thailand is basically skewered and grilled meats served with a spicy sauce. You can use chicken, mutton, beef, pork, fish, eggs or tofu according to your tastes. In Bali, you find their own variant called Sate Lilit, which is made with minced beef, pork, chicken and sometimes even turtle meat! To make Thai Satey you can pick the meat of your liking along with bamboo or lemongrass skewers. You would need tamarind paste, warm water, garlic cloves, peeled shallots, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and some oil and of course salt to taste to marinate the meat.
