Oman is an amazing country to visit as there are so many different terrains waiting to be explored. There are some fantastic beaches across the country that you must check out. Read on to find out more!

Khalouf Beach

This beach is a favourite because you will often find that it isn't very crowded, and there are fantastic sand dunes in which you can have a great time. The beach is located towards the south of Muscat and is home to a selection of wildlife including eagles and flamingos.

Al Qurum Beach

This beach is very popular among visitors and locals, and you will often find it buzzing with life and energy. It is located in the capital of Oman, in Muscat, and is an absolutely beautiful location. You will find plenty to do as there are lots of cafes, Oman luxury hotels and shopping centres around. There are water activities, such as jet skiing that you can enjoy here, as well as interreacting with the many people who frequent this site. This beach is located in one of the more upscale parts of the city, and the vibes here are cool and trendy.

Tiwi Beach

Tiwi beach is a must visit if you love spending time outdoors, while also claiming stunning white sands and exquisite blue waters, there are plenty of rock pools as well for relaxing in. The area is home to a fishing village, and this will be apparent when you visit as you will see plenty of fishing boats along the shore. The area is simple and calm, but it attracts many visitors because there are two stunning wadi's, or green valley's running through rocky desserts nearby. Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi are these stunning sights, which you can trek or hike through, making an amazing adventure for nature enthusiasts.

Al Mughsayl Beach

The beaches you see in magazines have golden sands, crystal blue and turquoise waters, and palm trees around, and this beach has all those elements. The landscape is also surrounded by mountains all around, making it a special sight. Visiting this beach is one of the most popular activities among those who visit the city of Dhofar.

Bandar Jissah

This is indeed a sight to behold, as you will find yourself surrounded by limestone cliffs in a stained white colour, eroded and shaped by centuries of waves hitting the surface. This beach is located a short distance beyond Muscat and is the ideal place to head to for a day trip. Oman's mountainous terrain is indeed beautiful, whether it is along the coast, or whether it is on higher ground in the areas surrounding Alila Jabal Akhdar.

Ras Al Hadd Beach

This beach isn't just special for its beauty, it is a place loved by wildlife enthusiasts as green turtles come here to lay their eggs. To witness this spectacular event you will need to be at the beach in the very early hours of the day, as these turtles lay their eggs before the sunrises. The season for seeing these turtles is between June and August, though there are turtles to be spotted during the rest of the year as well. a couple of months after the eggs are laid, they hatch, and the baby turtles swim out into the sea. This too is a spectacular sight.
