Addition and Subtraction Grade 1 Review Flashcards | Quizlet

Addition and Subtraction Grade 1 Review Learn with flashcards, games, and more - this website is interactive and is a good way for students to be exposed to lots of addition and subtraction problems. It gives instant feedback if the students got the correct answer or not. I included this because it is fun for students (there are games for students to play) and they are willing to work hard to get better to beat their time.

Addition Subtraction under 20 - 1st Grade Math Videos for Kids

This is a video that introduces students to word problem addition and subtraction using objects (like hats). I picked it because it has both visual and audio which will be useful to most students.

Subtraction Song- The Mystery of the Chocolate Donuts

This is a fun song that has lots of vocabulary for subtraction (take away, count backwards, etc). I chose this because kids love songs so this is something fun, and it does a good job of going through subtraction problems.

Flipgrid - Video for student engagement and formative assessment

This is a website where students could create their own addition and subtraction videos. I chose this website because it is easy to use and is a way that students could create something for the hyperdoc.

Addition and subtraction | 1st grade | Math | Khan Academy

This is a video showing that addition and subtraction can relate to each other. I chose this because it is a good informational video with both audio and visual. It is useful in explaining addition and subtraction.

Adding 7 + 6 (video) | Addition within 20 | Khan Academy

This is a video explaining how to add larger numbers using the number line. I chose this because if a student is having problems with addition this is another way that they could look at it and might be helpful to them. Each student learns in a different way so this video uses another way to explain addition.

Addition Blocks | MathPlayground.com

This is a game where students select the numbers on the blocks to reach a certain number. I chose this because it is fun but students will still be learning. You can also use addition of 3 numbers which will challenge students who may be more advanced.

This game exposes students to pictures and numbers. I chose this because it is a good way for students to count for themselves using pictures. This is a good one for students that might not know their numbers as well.

Number Bonds 10 | MathPlayground.com

You work to find ways to make the number 10. You are given different numbers and have to find the correct number to match it with to make 10. It can be interactive and is very engaging which is why I chose it.

Free Online Poster Maker: Design Custom Posters With Canva

This is a website where students could create a poster about addition and subtraction facts or come up with their own problems with answers. I chose this because it is easy to create on and I want a way for students to show their knowledge by demonstrating that they understand well enough to create.
