Many people think scholarships are only for 4.0 students, but that isn’t the case at all. You can find a scholarship for just about anything. Here are 8 scholarships you would never think of:
Don’t lose your marbles, use them to earn yourself a $1,000-$2,000 scholarship from The National Marbles Tournament. If you have mad marble playing skills enter this four-day competition to win yourself some extra college cash.
Why would you spend $500 on a prom dress, when you can win a $5,000 scholarship for wearing one made out of duct tape? The brand Duck tape offers a, “Stuck At Prom Scholarship.” To enter both couples need create their outfits entirely out of duct tape.
Are you intrigued by ghosts, telepathy and psychic powers? The Eileen J. Garret Scholarship offers a $3,000 scholarship for students studying parapsychology, otherwise know as psi phenomena. Simply fill out the application and submit an essay about your paranormal experiences.
Interested in fire sprinklers? The American Fire Sprinkler Association offers a $2,000 scholarship to five high school graduates. All you have to do is read about fire sprinklers, and then take a 10 question open-book quiz.
The Michigan Llama Association offers one of their members a $500 scholarship. The recipient can renew this scholarship three times during their college career.
