Top 5 Fall & Winter Sports

Sports are popular in all areas of the country, but some sports are more popular than others. Here is a list of the top five fall and winter sports.

1

Football Frenzy

Football Frenzy

Everyone knows, football is addicting, fascinating, awesome and fun. It makes our list for top 5 fall sports maybe because of the Super Bowl, maybe the cheerleaders, no one can be exactly sure. It’s just that epic moment when your favorite defensive player just sacked the quarter back and nothing can go wrong for a week because of it, this is what makes people football fanatics.

2

Hunting

Hunting

These two words give chills of anticipation to hunters everywhere. Hunting begins and everyone and there dog (literally) is out in camo and neon hoping they don’t shoot each other. Gun safe sales soar, and rifles are purchased with glee. Hunting bows and other hunting weapons are taken out of the vault and dusted off for some good old fashioned fun. Whether you shoot foul, deer and elk, or fishing is more your style, you can get excited when the temperatures start to drop and you can start planning your hunting and fishing trips.

3

Hockey

Hockey

Seriously aren’t lock outs a pain in the? For NHL fans everywhere the hockey hiatus all fall was a real bummer. Now that the teams are playing again the season is almost over. However a true hockey fan will milk this for all it’s worth, watching highlights over and over, tuning in to see who is punching who. Once you watch hockey you have to admit, the way the reffs let them play the game makes it more fun for everyone.

4

Soccer

Soccer

It technically is a fall sport because the season ends in October. These athletes have ridiculous skill. The accuracy they have at the pro level when they can shoot and score with their head always blows the mind (pun totally intended). Any sports fan can appreciate this type of fast paced, high energy, ball handling.

5

Basketball

Basketball

Who doesn't love basketball? When you are watching a game live there is nothing like eating nachos and yelling from the stands. The halftime cheerleaders doing their dances and the fan interaction trying to dribble around an obstacle course. This is one of the best fall/ winter sports for this exact reason. When it is chilly outside, you can depend on basketball games to be warm and comfortable for your viewing pleasure.
