List of diving sites in Tioman Island - Discover paradise under water!

With its extensive coral reefs, tropical fish, Tioman Island has earned a reputation as a place with the best diving sites. The rock formations and corals make your diving experience more exciting.

1

Tiger Reef

If you are a novice or someone without much experience, Tiger Reef is where you should choose as your diving site. Although you should take care as the current can get a little strong. If you are a complete newbie, your best possible option is to pick one of the hotels in Tioman Island with dive centres – a good example would be Berjaya Tioman Resort.

2

KM Sipadan Wreck

This is a sunk marine petrol vessel which is 31m long. The Royal Navy Ship was sunk back in 2012 to create an artificial reef. The wreck stretches over 30m with another two Thai fishing boats alongside it. If you are an expert diver, there's no stopping you from entering the ship to explore the inside the vessel.

3

Soyak Island

This is a different island – though located very close to Tioman Island. If you are dreaming of a night dive, this is where you should go. The site is excellent for beginners as the current is quite mild. The diversified marine life here makes it the perfect spot for underwater photography.

4

Renggis Island

This is yet another site for diving at night. The depth can be set at around 16 meters with two famous shipwrecks surrounding it which is what makes it an excellent diving spot. While underwater, you will dive into herds of batfish, angelfish, pufferfish, bumphead and parrotfish.

5

Malang Rock

The diversity of this site is a cheering prospect for divers – which by the way is the speciality of the site. For this reason alone, during holidays, the place gets packed with locals and foreigners who love diving. The fantastic rock formations coupled with vividly hued corals is the main drawcard of the site. At Malang Rock, you will have the chance of spotting lionfish, scorpion fish and butterfly fish

6

Teluk Kador

Just like many other sites, Teluk Kador is a famous spot for beginners as well. The abundant marine life and the clusters of reefs will be the best thing you will have ever seen. There will be blacktip sharks and turtles to keep you company while you are underwater not to mention the herds of lobsters and eels. Just like most sites, Teluk Kador is ideal for underwater photography.

7

Magician Rock

Reef clusters at Magician Rock are breathtakingly amazing. It goes about 8 meters into the water and may have strong waves which will prove no hardship for experienced divers. If you are lucky enough, you might even spot a wandering shark.

8

Bahara Rocks

The site is located off the southwest corner of Pulau Tioman. There is a wide range of colourful fish that turn the place into a sort of a paradise. The best time to dive here lies in-between February and March.
