Time is the main thing in everyone's life. Time's chariot keeps on running whether we realize it or not, utilize it or not. It's this that makes time management a priority for all. But how do we manage time without reading it? Man has always tried to decode Nature's mysteries; understanding how to measure time was indeed the most exquisite of all his endeavors. The first attempts included observing the stars and the change of seasons. However, with the passage of time, man gained intelligence and started trying better ways.

The usage of sundials was the very first try to measure time specifically. Sundials were first found in 1500 BC by the Egyptians and Babylonians, but today's technology has smarter options at its disposal. Measuring time is you can forget the only real concern for people; they would like to do it in style. No wonder we've many different clocks to select from. As per their display, clocks could be classified into the following types - analog clocks, digital clocks, braille clocks and talking clocks.

Analog clocks

Analog clocks are the most common clocks. They're the ones all of us use within our houses to check on the time. These clocks have a time face and hands to tell the time. These hands move around the clock face to indicate the time. Analog clocks are accustomed to measure military time too while they can be found in a 24 hour format as well.

Digital Clocks

Digital clocks also have gained popularity over time. They're completely distinctive from their Analog counterparts. They don't really utilize any clock face or hands to point the time. Instead, they choose two sets of numbers separated with a colon to indicate the hours and minutes. These clocks utilize the LCD or LED display technology to project the time. Early digital clocks had plastic cards which flipped to indicate the progress of time. Like analog clocks, digital clocks too come in 12-hour and24-hour formats.

Braille clocks

All of us need time equally, be it normal people or those facing disabilities. Technology has brought measures to create reading time feasible for the visually handicapped people as well. They have used it with the help of the Braille script, which helps the visually challenged people read. Braille clocks display the time using raised dots on the clock's dial. Aside from Braille clocks, visually impaired people may also utilize talking clocks to gauge the time. mikrometer

Talking clocks

Talking clocks are usually utilized in public places for monitoring time. Places like airports and railway stations use talking clocks to permit the passengers watch on the time. They believe it is feasible to plan their moves across the place. However, those who want to use talking clocks for personal use do not need to be disappointed. There are talking clocks available available in the market in the shapes of movie and TV characters. Kids have their options too as these clocks may also be for sale in the design of cartoon characters as well.
