7 reasons why Brisbane is Australia's #1 City – The unrecognised jewel-city in Australia

Brisbane is the third most populated city in Australia after well-known Sydney and Melbourne and here are some reasons why it is the most loved city.

1

Markets are a delight

The Brisbane markets are an absolute delight. They have a variation of products ranging from fresh fruits, vegetables, sea food and even warm and delightful baked goods. There are also several stalls for clothing, accessories, shoes and handicrafts which are filled with different knick-knacks all handmade and unique to one another. Many a Brisbane CBD hotels are located in an area which is closer to a lot of outdoor and indoor markets so the markets are a must visit for those who are staying in the hotel.

Famous Icon

Steve Irwin is one of the most well renowned names when it comes to wildlife preservation and crocodiles in the world. The Australian Zoo in Brisbane is the perfect location for those who love animals and specially crocodiles. The zoo has a lot of space for all the animals as the late founder was a very big animal lover.

3

Great public transport

A GoCard is all you need to be able to use public transport in Brisbane and the system is extremely easy even for those you have not ridden the trains and the busses before. Busses, trains and cabs are in abundance which makes it a lot easier to get places even in a hurry. If you wish to be more environmentally friendly you can ride a bike or even walk as the pavements are clean and well-constructed.

4

Parking is easier

Trying to find parking in other major cities is almost impossible and extremely frustrating. Even if you were lucky enough to find parking it will cost you so much money by the time you rush back from a 15 minute meeting. Brisbane on the other hand is absolutely organised and so much easier as you are able to park to go shopping, attend meetings and even go lunching while you rest the wheels.

5

South Bank

Southbank in Brisbane is a gem in the heart of the city. The man made beach is nothing like you could ever imagine as it is absolutely amazing to be able to go to the beach on a sunny day in order to spend time with family or friends or even by yourself to relax and read a book while basking in the sun. Apart from the sandy beach South Bank is brewing with cafes and restaurants which make it the perfect location for a day-out, right in the heart of the city. If you are staying at city apartments such as Oaks Lexicon Apartments then you would be delighted to visit the South Bank as you are in the vicinity.

6

Houses are less pricey

In terms of value for money in real estate, Brisbane makes a lot more sense than other cities in Australia. Houses, apartments and land are affordable even close to the city and makes a lot more sense when it comes to building a family.

7

People are nicer

Brisbanites are known to be friendly, approachable and will always greet you with a smile eve at a busy time. They do not have the big city attitude where people are not willing to help or be friendly with neighbours. Neighbourhoods in Brisbane are closely knit, helpful and become like families overtime.
