Top cuisines in Bangkok - Delight your taste buds with amazing culinary experiences!

The food options in Bangkok are abundant as there is more than one cuisine that complements the city. The dishes you sample here will keep you drawn to the capital and leave you wanting more.

1

Street food

Street food you find in Bangkok alleyways is always a delight. No matter the time of the day – be it midnight or early morning – you can always find something to eat in the streets of Bangkok. Though you can find street food almost everywhere in the city, there are a few places that are popular for street food. For example, in Chinatown, there are stalls stacked with food that's originated from Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisines – in Wang Lang, there's a massive food market – while in Victory Monument you can buy boat noodles from hundreds of stalls that line the streets.

2

Thai cuisine

Many Bangkok hotel packages make Thai food part of their deal – to give you an example, Chatrium Residence Sathorn Bangkok. In the capital, the food options are widely varied in comparison to the west. You get to enjoy Isaan cuisine which means you can sample masses of spicy salads and grilled meat items. There are also curries with a thick creamy texture and rich dishes that were originated in Northern Thailand. You will see that many restaurants offer options from different cuisines, but Thai cuisine takes precedence.

3

Dining

One thing about Thai cuisine is that it is not concerned with the artistry of the dish when presenting – the main concern is the taste of the dish. However, if you are on the lookout for excellent dining options, you will doubtless find them at fancy restaurants in Bangkok.

4

Mid-range

If you want something simple while you are on a lowkey date, there's a wide spectrum of mid-range eateries where you can have what you want. The prices are pretty reasonable – so you won't have to hold back your wish to taste as many dishes as possible. Some of the most popular mid-range restaurants are Le De, Paste, Sit and Wonder, Lay Lao and Long Table.

5

Cafes

Want something simple yet delicious for brunch? Well, there are lines of cafes where you can find something simple, and it also would be a step up from street food. So, make note of following options for when you are in Bangkok: Yum & Tum, May Veggie Home, Som Tum Der, Tum Thonglor and Chapter 21.

6

Indian Cuisine

There's an ever-increasing Indian community in Bangkok. Thanks to them and those who love Indian food, there are many Indian restaurants that cater to Indian food lovers. Though considered to be the most expensive branch of the Bangkok dining scene, you can find a place that resonates with your budget in Phahurat and Nana region.

7

Chinese

If you are not a big fan of street food in Chinatown, not to worry, there's a plethora of fine eateries scattered all over the city. If the next dish you want to sample is Dim Sum, there are plenty of Dim Sum restaurants, and if you want to try some Peking Duck, you have that option too.

8

Japanese

If you want some Japanese food options on the menu, head down to Sukhumvit where there's a huge Japanese population. Among your options are barbeque, sushi and Ramen restaurants.
