There are so many attractions to see in London - from London bridge to the lively markets, here are just a few must-see locations to visit during your trip.

London Bridge

You can't go to London and not tour one of its most iconic sites - London Bridge. The tall towers of London bridge are a huge tourist attraction, and hence, has received amazing upgrades to further delight visitors. An adventurous glass panel floor was added to the walkways between the two towers so that visitors can look down, a 42-meter drop, and get a bird's eye view of the road and river passing under.

London Eye

Looming over the city, this modern Ferris wheel provides stunning views over London. Gaze out over the River Thames, central London, and Buckingham Palace. If you are lucky, you may even spot the Queen's suite at the palace. The individual compartments can be booked for sunset/sunrise viewing as well.

Hampton Court Palace

Famous as the home of Henry VII and his unfortunate wife - visitors to Hampton Court can now walk into the very rooms once occupied by its royal residents. The ghost of one the king's wives, Anne Boleyn, is rumoured to haunt the corridors of the palace, and the sound of her ghostly chains ring throughout the palace.

The Globe

Lovers of Shakespeare can enjoy one of the celebrated bard's plays, in a traditional Elizabethan styled globe theatre. During his era, theatregoers watched performances on their feet, and at the modern Globe, the tradition carries on. Tickets are affordably priced, and unless you're of very short stature, you'll get good views across the stage.

National Gallery

Regarded as one of the best galleries in the world, the National Gallery houses the artwork of some of Europe's finest artists. Visitors can view paintings including works by Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli, and Stubbs, as well as famous sculptures and other works.

Hyde Park

Located within walking distance to several tourists' attractions and hotels in the city, such as Dorsett Shepherds Bush London, for example, one of the notable four stars hotel in London. Hyde Park provides visitors with an escape from the noise of the city, within a forest like setting. Aside from the gorgeous lush environment, the park also provides plenty of space for entertainment. The popular Speakers' Corner is an outdoor stage where everyone from politicians, and activists, to any member of public seeking a public audience, can speak or simply listen.

A British institution - Madame Tussauds has continuously drawn crowds from around the world with its lifelike waxworks, showcasing figures from the biggest names in culture and entertainment. Snapping pictures with your favourite celebrity or royal is an enjoyable activity here and one you should definitely not miss.

Buckingham Palace

Another iconic London landmark, Buckingham Palace is the prime residence of the British monarchy. Take a tour of the palace and its sprawling gardens - with over 775 rooms along with nearly 100 offices and 19 staterooms where the Queens meets dignitaries. Do try and visit when the changing of the guards take place outside. This display of pomp and pageantry takes place daily in front of the palace.
