Petronas Twin Towers

Being the tallest twin buildings in the world at a height of more than 450 metres and made up 88 stories, the Petronas twin towers is one of the countries top tourist attractions. This marvellous construction is a source of wonder for architecture enthusiasts and tourists alike. If you visit the sky bridge that connects the 2 towers, you'll get to experience an unparallel view of the KLCC Park: an urban park located at heart of the city which was built to purify the air around the twin towers and the surrounding area.

Aquaria KLCC

Situated under the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, this large aquarium is a great place if you want to learn about the aquatic cycles of the highland rivers and the sea that surrounds Malaysia. Make sure to book the tickets for the 2-hour tour of the Aquaria KLCC online in advance as the venue is visited by many of the locals and can get quite crowded. It's a great place if your visiting the Kuala Lumpur with your family as the venue will guarantee fun for people of all ages.

Batu Caves

Made up several temples and shrines built to honour the Hindu God of war Lord Murugan, the Batu caves are constructed using natural limestones. As you enter the caves the first thing that you'll experience is the high spiritual energy that flows through it. The caves are also home to a wide variety of wildlife with monkeys being the most popular among them. Taking a spelunking tour of the Dark cave and mountain climbing are some of the other things you can do while visiting Batu Caves.

Central Market

Located in a stunning art deco building, the Central market which is also known as Pasar Seni is an art market area that sells a mix of both traditional and contemporary artwork. Made up of over 300 stalls it's also a great place for batik print clothing items and other Malaysian items. A small theatre located at this venue hosts cultural events on a weekly basis celebrating the diversity of people that live in Malaysia.

KL Bird Park

If you're bird watching enthusiast then the KL bird park is a must-see place that you should add to your itinerary. Located on an area of more than 20 acres, it is Asia's biggest walk-in aviary that showcases 200 species of birds from all across the globe. The birds aren't separated by type and can fly around the park freely. The dancing flamingos, giant hornbills and the chattering macaws are some of the park's main attractions.

Thean Hou Temple

Built-in 1894 during the era that the Chinese Hainanese community lived in Kuala Lumpur, the Thean Hou temple is one of Southeast Asia's largest and oldest Buddhist temples. In addition to its stunning architecture, because it is located at the top of a hill, it also offers a breath-taking view of the KL city.
