Ferrari World Theme Park

Located on an area of more than 20,000 square metres, the Ferrari world theme park is an attraction that you shouldn't miss if you're a fan of fast cars and racing. Being the main attraction of the Yas Islands of Abu Dhabi, the theme park is home to the fastest rollercoaster in the world which can go up to speeds of 240 kilometres an hour: The Formula Rossa. In addition to the Formula Rossa, the park also offers 20 other rides that you can enjoy.

Heritage Village

Located near the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi, the Heritage Village is a great place to visit if you want to learn about the past and culture of Abu Dhabi. The traditional Bedouin village that you'll find when visiting Heritage Village which was recreated from scratch consists of a souk, tents made out of goat hair and a small mosque. The irrigation techniques used in Abu Dhabi called falaj and goat rearing are some of the traditions from the past of the country that you can witness as you explore the village. As it isn't a museum you can even take part in some of the activities that you see at the village like spinning, pottery and weaving.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Constructed by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a past president of UAE, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in UAE. The mosque is spread across 30 acres of land and took 11 years to complete construction. The mosque is built using marble but also has other elements like ceramics, semi-precious stones, diamonds and crystals built in to its magnificent structure. The carpet created for this mosque at a length of 60, 570 square feet is the largest woven in the world which weighs 35 tons. Be sure to dress modestly when visiting as it is one of the most revered mosques in the country.

Abu Dhabi Corniche
