Constructed by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a past president of UAE, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in UAE. The mosque is spread across 30 acres of land and took 11 years to complete construction. The mosque is built using marble but also has other elements like ceramics, semi-precious stones, diamonds and crystals built in to its magnificent structure. The carpet created for this mosque at a length of 60, 570 square feet is the largest woven in the world which weighs 35 tons. Be sure to dress modestly when visiting as it is one of the most revered mosques in the country.
