Vientiane

This small town which feels so homely and welcoming is actually the capitol city of Laos. The city has many buildings that are from French architecture as this used to be a trading port for the French during the colonial period. Vientiane also has several buildings such as the Laotian version of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris known as Patuxai and an old French quarter that can be explored. Luang Prabang

A stunning little town so serene and tranquil located in the Mekong and Khan rivers. This delightful little town was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and anyone who visits the town will be able to see beauty of this hidden gem. If you like trekking, the town has a water fall known as Kuang Si Waterfalls which is perfect for an adventurous outdoor experience. King Lor cave

The pristine water and the cave combined gives a very mystical and enchanting feeling. The cave is about 5 miles long and about 300 feet tall at its highest point. The Bokeo Nature reserve is a popular nature reserve as it was through the conservation work done for the nature reserve that the black-cheeked gibbons were rediscovered after they were presumed to have gone extinct. The nature reserve is located outside the town of Huay Huay Xai.
