Each week on several locations such as the Post Office Square, The Street Mall, the South Bank and several other locations local bands, singles and touring artists perform live and anyone is welcome to watch them perform for free.

The tallest building in the vicinity till the 1960s was the city hall clock tower and there is a lift that is still functioning in order to take the people up to the top. It functions every 15 minutes during the opening hours and you can have a birds eye view of the surrounding and take a look at the buildings that have now surpassed the clock tower.
Not for the night owls, but if you would like to witness the sun light touching the land and hovering over the city with its first rays early in the morning; then you can take an early car ride to the top of Mt Coot-Tha and enjoy a tranquil view.
