No we mean, it! Just let go and really let 'em have it! Where can you legally let out all the pent-up rage and frustration you possibly didn't know you were saddled with, you ask? Why, at Ikari Area, of course! The concept's simply genius. The good people at Ikari Area pick up old electronic and household goods such as TVs, refrigerators and washing machines, and then charge you money to come to smash it all up! It's a great stress reliever. Sadly, you might not leave feeling totally stress-free after you pay the bill. At USD 40 for a single 15-minute session, breaking things doesn't come cheap. However, if you really put your back into it, you probably won't be able to keep smashing things up with the bat for more than a good 10 minutes anyway.
If you're a fan of karaoke, head to the Red Mr in Wan Chai. This is one of the town's most frequented after-dark karaoke joints. You'll be able to reach it by a cab ride from many furnished apartments in Kowloon the likes of Hotel Pravo Hong Kong. The Red Mr is part of a popular chain of karaoke venues by the same name which is known for providing an extensive selection of both local (i.e Cantonese) and Western song numbers. Red Mr outlets are also especially popular due to their lively party-like atmosphere and great refreshments. So chug down a few gulps of liquid courage (sadly the Red Mr isn't in the habit of serving up vials of Felix Felicis, but you should be able to get your hands on a potent libation or two), and prepare to belt your heart out.
Head to the Crossfire Arena to take up some lessons in the art of handling lightsabers. This is a good a chance as any to battle out any minor grievances you may have with your travelling companions while swinging around neon sticks in the dark. If this doesn't unleash your inner-child (and inner-geek) we don't know what will! For those of your travelling party that isn't Star Wars fanatics, the Crossfire Arena offers a range of other neon-based activities. These include neon dodgeball, neon soccer, neon archery, and neon archery tag. Needless to say, this is one venue that will go down great with the kids.
There's more than one way to scale up the leafy inclines of Hong Kong's iconic mountain, Victoria Peak. Buy yourself a ticket on the tram that journeys up the mountainside daily, and ride your way to the top. The tram operates from 07:00 am to 12:00 am and offers sweeping views of the city. You can hop aboard the service at the Peak Tram terminal on Garden Road.
Explore the rows upon rows of stalls at the Temple Street Night Market, and practice pitting your negotiation skills against the local hawkers as they try to sell you all and sundry. If you're feeling particularly lost in life at the time, consider wandering over to a fortune telling kiosk to have your life's mysteries unveiled for you.
