At the end of the year, right after the kiss while the clock is still chiming, you’ll probably make a New Year’s Resolution. And a few months later, you’ll probably break it. Whether it’s losing weight or learning something new at a Utah college, here are 5 resolutions that will be broken this year.
A majority of New Year’s Resolutions participants will make losing weight their goal, but after the first week of January, they start to tucker out, start to miss the taste of fried food and chocolate, and start to throw in the towel—literally. If you’re serious about losing the weight gained over the holidays, you’ll need to hire an expert motivator, like a personal trainer accredited by a Utah college.
This resolution would be easily attainable if life itself wasn’t stressful. Accidents happen, luck runs out, and karma gets you back for running over your neighbor’s cat and not telling her the truth. Stress is part of life. The best way to reduce it is to deal with it by taking more bubble baths.
You’ve always wanted to learn how to paint, so you enrolled in a Utah community college. Two weeks into the semester you realize why you didn’t finish college in the first place. Painting is harder than expected and the homework is only good for procrastination.
Unfortunately, with skyrocketing interest rates and crashing stock markets, getting out of debt takes years. A more reasonable resolution would be to spare an extra $50 for your student loan each month, instead of trying to pay off $15,000 in one year.
We’d all love to take that cruise to the Bahamas, or see the Eiffel Tower in Paris, but most of us don’t make enough money in a year to travel the globe and make monthly mortgage payments.
