The Great Barrier Reef

Located off the coastline of Queensland, this blue water paradise is the largest living structure on earth. The aquamarine wonder shelters 1500 species of fish, 200 species of birds and is comprised of 2900 individual reefs. This heavenly wonder attracts two million people from all over the world each year. The reef is well known, among those who love surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling.

Brisbane

The most populous city and the third largest city in Australia. Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland. It is vibrant and filled with colour, lovely crimson sunsets and golden beaches. The city is rich with outdoor restaurants and located between the Sunland Coast and the Gold Coast. Any time of year is a good time to visit this resplendent city. Gold Coast

Situated in subtropical Queensland and an hour's drive from the state capital Brisbane, the Gold coast is a fast-growing city with half a million people and came to life as a vacation retreat in the 1850s. The northern part of the city shines the brightest with its gleaming sun. Often referred to as the 'surfer's paradise', this is a complete destination in itself for shopping and entertainment. The further you move down the coast, the more relaxed you feel. And Coolangatta is just a five-minute drive from the Gold Coast's international airport and a popular choice for families.

Daintree National Park

Founded in 1981 and situated in far north Queensland, the park is a bastion for endangered and imperilled species. Daintree National Park is the most spectacular, ancient, surviving forest in the world. It is an hour and a half drive from Cairns. As soon as you walk into the forest, you will be pleasantly swallowed by nature and wildlife. You can dine in the rainforest restaurant or rejuvenate and relax in the Spa or alternatively, it could be more to your liking to stay at one of many a Queenstown apartment accommodation the likes of Oaks Shores.

Fraser Island

The world's largest sand island and listed in the World Heritage list, Fraser Island is located off eastern Queensland coast. Home to Eurong beach, Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, and variously coloured rocks and lake Mackenzie. You can take a drive through the subtropical rainforest through sandy lands or take a joyous flight with Air Fraser Land and you will be amazed by the stunning views up and down the coast.

Whitsunday Islands

This blue and green paradise is located between the northeast coast of Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef. Most of the islands are unpopulated but colonized by dense rain forests, hiking tracks and white sandy beaches. Here you will find the finest beach sand in the world and there are so many ways to explore the divine beauty of this place. You can go for a full day cruise, surfing or maybe you can just go for a swim in the blue waters and enjoy the warmth and the multiple-hued fish.
