Where to go in Kalutara 2019?

The town of Kalutara is towards the Southern part of Sri Lanka. Here is where you should visit if you plan on travelling here in 2019.

Richmond Castle

This is an architecturally significant landmark in Kalutara. The story of the beach in Kalutara Richmond Castle is fascinating and what's more is that the structure of the castle is iconic. The inspiration for this castle was from the palace of India. The owner of the castle was a governor back in the 1890s. The castle is around 10 minutes away from the town centre of Kalutara. The castle spreads across more than 40 acres and the interior of it has elements of Edwardian and Palladian architecture. There are 15 rooms in the palace and a large saloon. The garden has fruit and spice groves. The moldings, glass windows, and the teak floors remain as the highlight of the castle. The Richmond castle is open to the public from 8 am to 4 pm daily.

You can see for yourself how the masks are made and also buy a few as souvenirs for your trip home. The masks make excellent home decor and are the best way to add culture to your living space.
