Dubai's fame has reached every far corner of the world. Its modern developments are the definition of a futuristic utopia. The space-age city caters to every whim and desire of its visitors.

Burj Khalifa

Everyone knows of Burj Khalifa as the tallest building in the world. But, apart from being a wonder in terms of its height, Burj Khalifa has other charms that are appealing to tourists. For example – the observation deck at level 124, the sky lounge at level 148 are where you can get a bird's eye view of the city. Also, the splashy restaurant at level 122 At.Mosphere is a spot where you can enjoy a nice meal accompanied by lovely views. The entrance ticket to the observation deck can be a bit pricey – but it will be money well spent.

Dubai Museum

Said to be the oldest building in the city – built in 1787 – Dubai Museum is located in Al Fahidi Fort. The museum was established in 1971 with the intention of demonstrating how their ancestors conducted their lives. There's a display of ancient artefacts – of which the origins can be traced back to Africa and Asia. Some of the exhibits date back to 3000 B.C. In the last decade, the number of tourists visiting the museum skyrocketed. To give you some perspective – in 2007, the museum received 600,000 visitors, and there were 80,000 visitors in the month of March 2008 alone, by 2013, the yearly total increased up to 1 million.

The Dubai Fountain

Designed by the same designing company that takes credit for Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, the Dubai Fountain is located right outside Burj Khalifa. There are 25 projectors and 6,600 lights that illuminate the entire vicinity. What's more, there are Arabic music and music of other genres playing while it shoots water as high as 500 ft – the height of the fountain is 902 ft – the cost of the project is said to be USD 218 million.

The Dubai Mall

Dubai has earned a reputation as a shoppers' paradise – all thanks to its wonderful malls which happen to be galore. With 1000 shops selling almost everything you could hope to buy; Dubai Mall is considered to the be busiest and the swankiest shopping mall. Not only are there shops that sell clothes, perfumes and such like, there are also 150 restaurants that will treat you to all kinds of dishes from a variety of international cuisines. Furthermore, there is a massive indoor waterfall, a skating rink and a theme park built inside the mall.

Palm Islands

Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali – two manmade islands – form the Palm Islands that were built in the shape of a palm tree. This is said to be one of the best human-created structures. There are residences, Palm Jumeirah hotels – as a case in point, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort – and best sceneries ever.

Theme Parks

Dubai is famous for its man-made creations, and they have done it so well, for there seems to be an increasing number of tourists visiting those. Among the most favoured attractions of the city are theme parks and Dubai is full of them. Motiongate, Bollywood Park and Legoland Park are a few of many that sure will catch your fancy.
